For the 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment (2 PARA) Airborne Task Force (ABTF) training day at Charter Hall, the CBC events team turned to Reece Productions to provide AV Support.
However, it would take some of Reece Productions resourcefulness and industry contacts to pull it off...
'The brief seemed simple enough, we were asked to supply a screen and projector, plus six headset radio microphones. As the event started early on the Monday morning it was decided to load in the night before, however, once we had rigged a 14' screen and XP56 projector (as per our quotation) it quickly became apparent that the clients expectation was for something a little larger! At this point it was 8pm on a Sunday, so with a few phone calls and the promise of some beer, we were able to get a 20' by 15' screen and Panasonic 7000 lumen DLP projector delivered and set up by 10pm!
Everyone was happy in the end, and the screen certainly looked impressive thanks to some great support from Darren at Smart AV.'
